My very first apron!

My very first apron! I made this apron for my hairdresser for Christmas. I have been going to her for 13 years and always gave her a big box of homemade cookies and goodies for Christmas etc. but wanted to do something "special" for her. So, I tried to find "girly girl" material as she is such a great young lady and always looks so feminine. I thought this was a nice blend of fabrics and I accomplised my mission! It was fun to make as well and she was sooooooooooo happy with it.

Another perfect project

Here is just one of many projects my husband has made over the years. He wanted his OWN desk so that he could put HIS "stuff" in it since I have MY own huge computer desk that he made me several years ago (and I sure do have "stuff" on and in it!). I am definitely a "pack rat". My husband more than not makes and draws up his OWN plans for his projects. He certainly has talent and needless to say I am one lucky lady and a proud one too.

This was the "matching" lounging pants that went with the tote above. Best of all, they actually fit. Difficult to make clothing for family when you live 1200 miles away. I also made a pillowcase to match the tote and pants. It was a fun project.
I got back into sewing last fall and this was one of my first projects. I made it for my oldest grand daughter for Christmas last year. Since then the desire to sew is back.

New Beginnings

Well, I finally did it. My daughter has a blog site and it looks like fun, so I decided I would give it a try. I enjoy cooking, baking, sewing and scrapbooking with my CRICUT machine, especially making birthday cards etc. as well as embellishing frames. My husband is, in my opinion, a master craftsman and has made many beautiful wood projects. Our daughter is amazing at quilt making and she also loves doing other crafty things as well. As time goes on I plan to put pictures on my blog. All in all, I look forward to enjoying tha world of blogging.
